Human rights lawyer and political activist, Chief Niyi Aborisade, has intensified his consultations across the four local government areas of Oyo town as part of his ongoing engagement with stakeholders over his governorship ambition on the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
Aborisade, who was accompanied by prominent PDP chieftains, met with party leaders, opinion moulders, and community representatives in what he described as a “highly inspiring and unifying meeting.”
“We were in Oyo town to consult with stakeholders in all four local governments. I was there with Mallam Yusuf, an indefatigable and astute politician who has been instrumental to the emergence of many political officeholders. He remains one of the few honest politicians around,” he said.
Aborisade disclosed that the meeting produced a broad consensus among party leaders to work collectively toward the success of his political aspiration.
“The meeting was inspiring as all the stakeholders agreed to ensure that we achieve our shared goal,” he added.
In his company at the consultation were Ibrahim Adelabu of Akinyele, Hon. Segun Erinle of Oyo North-East, and Ambassador Moshood, a House of Representatives hopeful for the Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency.
The stakeholders commended Aborisade’s commitment to inclusive governance, grassroots engagement, and human rights advocacy, describing his aspiration as one capable of revitalising governance in Oyo State.
Aborisade expressed appreciation for the show of support and reiterated his resolve to continue broad-based consultations, promising to run a people-centered campaign anchored on justice, equity, and development.
