The 2026 edition of the AMC Awards lived up to its reputation as a premier gathering of Nigeria’s advertising and outdoor media industry, as practitioners, brand leaders, and key stakeholders converged for an evening of glamour, recognition, and professional engagement.

Held before a fully packed audience, the event attracted advertising practitioners, outdoor advertising professionals, brand managing directors and chief executive officers, heads of marketing, on-air personalities, journalists, and members of the advertising association.

Also present were the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Tony Awobode; representatives of the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA), led by Assistant Director, Mr. Oyebanji; and the ARCON Zonal Head, Mrs. Hadiza Bello.

The atmosphere was marked by elegance and creative energy as industry players networked, exchanged ideas, and celebrated achievements across the advertising ecosystem. A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the Most Visible Brand of the Year awards, which recognised outstanding brands across various sectors for their effective deployment of outdoor and integrated advertising strategies to achieve strong market visibility.

Beyond awards, the ceremony also served as a platform for thought leadership and knowledge sharing. One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the unveiling of a new book titled WIN WITH BILLBOARD, authored by the Creative Director of the AMC Awards and Chief Executive Officer of CityCrier Communication Ltd, Asiwaju Ezra Okebisi.

The book launch drew significant interest from guests and industry professionals, positioning the publication as a timely contribution to Nigeria’s outdoor advertising discourse. Speaking at the launch, Okebisi said the book was written to guide brands on how to maximise billboards as effective communication and sales-driving tools, while also serving as a practical resource for advertising practitioners.

According to him, WIN WITH BILLBOARD adopts a hands-on approach to outdoor advertising, combining simplicity with strong visual illustrations to explain real-world billboard strategies that deliver measurable results. He explained that the publication bridges the gap between creativity and performance, offering insights into billboard planning, message clarity, audience targeting, and execution in an increasingly competitive advertising environment.

Industry stakeholders at the event commended the initiative, noting that the combination of awards recognition and intellectual contribution reflects the evolving maturity of Nigeria’s advertising sector.
