Leading Oyo State governorship aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Niyi Aborisade (BANA), has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Oyo State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitri 2026, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued on Friday by his Media Office, Aborisade commended Muslim faithful for their steadfastness, discipline, and devotion throughout the 30-day fasting period, noting that their sacrifices reflect the virtues of patience, faith, and selflessness that Islam enshrines.

“We pray that more blessings will abound through the faithful religious observances and prayers offered,” Aborisade said, urging Muslims to continue acts of charity and devotion even as they join family, friends, and well-wishers in celebration.

He called on the faithful to seek divine guidance for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Oyo State and the nation at large, stressing that collective prayers and unity of purpose are essential to overcoming socio-economic challenges and strengthening national cohesion.

Aborisade further urged Muslims to pray for leaders at all levels, emphasising the need for wisdom, integrity, and a renewed commitment to good governance.

He reiterated his pledge  to deliver people-oriented policies and programmes when he takes over the mantle of leadership in Oyo State next year.

Concluding his message, the ADC leader said: “Happy Eid-el-Fitri to all Muslims. May the blessings of this season bring peace, joy, and prosperity to our homes, communities, and our beloved state.”
