The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the last Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Iyalode Olajumoke Odususi, on Sunday congratulated Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on his re-election for a second term in office.

Soludo, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), won in all 21 local government areas of the state in the governorship election held on Saturday.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Edoba Omoregie (SAN), who announced the results, declared that Soludo, the APGA candidate, polled 422,664 votes, defeating his closest rival from the All Progressives Congress (APC), who scored 99,445 votes. Other results include YPP (37,753), LP (10,576), ADC (8,208), PDP (1,401), AA (1,145), AAC (292) and ZLP (453).

Odususi described Soludo’s landslide victory as “an emphatic reaffirmation of his excellent stewardship” since assuming office on March 17, 2022, and a reflection of the people’s trust in APGA’s governance philosophy.

“Congratulations to Professor Charles Soludo on this well-deserved and emphatic landslide victory. Your win in all 21 local government areas is like a referendum on your management of the state economically and politically,” she said.

The APGA chieftain added that the result was “an eloquent affirmation of the party’s growing acceptability in Anambra and across Nigeria.”

She urged Nigerians to embrace APGA as a credible political alternative capable of leading the nation toward a brighter future.
