A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Oyo State, Chief Olajumoke Olabisi Odususi, on Friday congratulated Christians on the celebration of Easter, calling for renewed commitment to love, unity and selfless service.
Odususi, who is the party’s candidate for the 2025 Ibadan North House of Representatives by-election, described Easter as a season of reflection on the virtues of sacrifice, compassion and hope.
In her Easter message, she urged Christians to imbibe the lessons of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ by showing love to one another and promoting peaceful coexistence.
“Easter is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made for humanity and the triumph of hope over despair. It calls on all of us to embrace love, kindness and unity in our daily lives,” she said.
The APGA leader emphasised the need for Nigerians to rise above divisions and work collectively for the progress of society, noting that national development can only be achieved through mutual understanding and cooperation.
She also called on leaders to prioritise the welfare of the people, stressing that selfless leadership and accountability remain key to good governance.
