A member of Nigeria Society of Engineers, Dr. Anthony Adeniji has called young learners to explore their academic pursuits with passion for self-reliance and positive economic contribution.

Adeniji, who is  the Chief Executive Officer of Buff-I-Limited,  made the call during the valedictory and award ceremony for the graduating final year students of St. Louis Grammar School, Mokola, Ibadan.

 The engineer , who was the guest speaker at the event titled: ” Roots and Wings”, stressed the importance of having a strong foundation, noted that the factor enables exploration of freedom and as well help to pursue the learner’s pursuit.

Adeniji added that independence of learners would enable risk-taking skills, pursuing dreams with curiosity, resilience, and positive choice-making.

He highlighted imagery of game of life, binoculars, prism, mentorship, skill development, networking, and understanding one’s maker as factors that will position every, or any learner will help him fulfil his life purpose, destiny or goals.

The ceremony, being the first of its kind, formed the basis to give a reminder of the importance of balancing stability, and life exploration.

Present at the principal of the school, Dr Yemi Shadare,  alumni of the school, first indigenous principal of the school, parents, staff and students, among others.
