For a university that is only at the verge of reaching her decennial anniversary, little will be expected to be jotted on her slate of achievements. The KolaDaisi University has at this point reverberated the assertion heard in some clans that age is nothing but numbers, as the University has in the past eight years of existence, attained landmark accomplishments that some universities that were either established before her or established at the same time as KolaDaisi University was, have not attained. Just recently, the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted approval for all courses presented by the University for the October/November 2024 accreditation exercise.

The programmes are Accounting, Political Science, English Language, History and Diplomatic Studies, Information and Media Studies, Computer Science, Law, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Economics and Business Administration. With 12 of the 13 courses, it presented for the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation exercise getting full accreditation and the remaining one getting interim accreditation, KolaDaisi University has again raised the bar in advancing the frontiers of knowledge.

The result of the accreditation exercise carried out in October/November 2024, was contained in a letter dated April 30, 2025 and addressed to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Olatunbosun, SAN, by the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu. In the letter, signed on behalf of Prof. Ribadu by the NUC’s Ag. Director of Accreditation, Engr Abraham Chundusu, the Commission explained that while 12 courses were granted full accreditation status, only one, Business Administration was granted interim accreditation.

The process of accreditation for any institution is a thorough procedure that leaves only the thorough bred; “survivors”. The National Universities Commission before granting accreditation would have checked to ensure that the University has met all the requirements, as is international best practice.

The KolaDaisi University met all requirements! With her state of-the-art facilities and finely bred lecturers the University was able and qualified to get the endorsement of the accreditation team who had in November 2024 been on the Campus of the University to evaluate the metier of the institution.

It is impressive that the KolaDaisi University does not only have these above-mentioned courses, there are other courses for undergraduate study like Common Law, Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science.

Rome we all know was not built in a day, but then I recall as a child my maternal uncle once said, “A child that will be named Samuel, must have been answering to the call, Sam, Sam prior to being named Samuel” The KolaDaisi University is already answering to the call ‘Sam, Sam”. This can only be a Havard University on Nigerian soil giving her trajectory of accomplishments in less than a decenni.
