As Christians across Nigeria celebrate Easter, a chieftain of the Peoples’  Democratic Party (PDP) and community leader, Aare Olayinka Akintola Oladimeji Segelu, has extended warm greetings, urging believers to embrace the enduring values of peace, hope, and unity.

In his Easter message on Sunday, Segelu described the season as a profound symbol of renewal and reassurance, noting that the resurrection of Jesus Christ offers strength and inspiration, particularly in difficult times.

“The message of Easter transcends celebration,” he said. “It represents victory over adversity, a reminder that no circumstance is permanent, and that through faith and perseverance, triumph is certain.”

He urged Christians to reflect the essence of Christ’s resurrection in their daily lives by upholding compassion, forgiveness, and selfless service within their communities.

Segelu also called for greater national cohesion, stressing that the spirit of Easter should inspire Nigerians to set aside differences and work together for peace and development.

“At a time when the nation is confronted with various challenges, the hope and renewal symbolised by Easter should motivate us to promote goodwill, understanding, and mutual respect,” he added.

He further urged Christians to remain devoted to prayer, expressing optimism that strengthened faith would inspire resilience and courage in the face of adversity.

Segelu wished Christians a peaceful and joyous Easter, praying that the season brings renewed hope and lasting blessings to families and communities.
