Founder and Chief Executive Officer of facility management and environmental solutions firm, Clean N Classy, Mr. Olumide Obembe, has urged Nigerians to take cleanliness seriously as a preventive measure against diseases and avoidable deaths.
Obembe made the call in Ibadan during a press briefing to mark the first anniversary of the company’s Ibadan branch, where he stressed that maintaining a clean environment remains one of the most effective ways to promote public health and reduce pressure on hospitals.
According to him, ensuring a hygienic environment should not be left to the government alone, but should be embraced by private organisations, communities, and individuals as a shared responsibility.
“It is the duty of all to make our environment clean. It is not the government’s duty alone.A clean home means fewer diseases, germs and sicknesses. It promotes healthy living and reduces hospital congestion. The National Orientation Agency (NOA) also needs to intensify efforts to promote a clean culture nationwide,” Obembe said.
Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, “One Year of Excellence, A Future of Possibilities,” Obembe said the Ibadan branch had grown into a trusted name within one year by combining professionalism, innovation, and customer-focused service delivery.
He added that the company’s success was driven by “a culture of discipline and commitment to quality,” with a diverse client base spanning homes, businesses, and public institutions.
As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Clean N Classy carried out a renovation project at the National Museum of Unity, Ibadan, where staff repainted and refurbished parts of the facility “to give back to the city that welcomed us.”
“We decided to tell our anniversary story not just in words, but through action. At Clean N Classy, we see keeping our environment clean and beautiful as both a duty and an act of unity,” Obembe noted.
To appreciate its clients, the firm announced a 25 per cent discount for existing customers and 20 per cent for new clients as part of its anniversary celebration.
Obembe thanked the company’s staff, customers, partners, and the media for their support, pledging that Clean N Classy would continue to uphold professionalism, innovation, and integrity in its operations.
He said the firm planned to leverage technology to enhance service delivery, create more jobs for young professionals, and expand its footprint beyond Oyo and Lagos States.
