Tentrade Africa has declared the forex market as Africa’s next major wealth frontier, urging traders across the continent to position themselves for opportunities that could rival the economic influence of oil and gas. The organisation made the assertion at its Ibadan Edition Partnership Conference, held  at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Oduduwa Hall.

The conference, themed “Empowering Partnership and Expanding Collaborations,” brought together industry leaders, partners and aspiring traders to chart new directions for forex participation and strengthen collaboration in the fast-growing financial ecosystem.

Opening the meeting, Tentrade Africa’s Head of Education, Mr. Martins Chuks, described the conference as “a launch pack for new ideas and bigger partnerships that will reshape the forex industry in Ibadan.” He encouraged participants to embrace collaboration and innovation to transform the city’s trading landscape.

Speakers at the event delivered strategic insights into profitable trading and partnership building. An experienced trader, Mr. Kehinde Shogeke, led a session on Tentrade Africa’s account offerings, while Chuks returned with a presentation on “Leveraging Funded Trading Opportunities,” stressing that access to capital was no longer a barrier. “Capital is no longer a problem; the question is whether you have the skills to trade profitably,” he noted.

Lagos-based trader, Mr. Raymond Olusola, spoke on the triad of “Trust, Transparency and Transformation,” explaining that sustained success in the trading business rests on integrity and adaptability. Also, Mr. Emmanuel Durojaiye delivered a practical session on “The Business Side of Trading,” urging traders to cultivate the mindset needed to thrive in the industry.

In a joint keynote address, Partnership Manager, Miss Princess Momodu, and Mr. Martins Chuks highlighted Tentrade Africa’s partnership model and announced a range of prizes for outstanding performers. They emphasised that the organisation is building a network designed to support long-term financial success for traders across Africa.

Addressing participants, Managing Director of Tentrade Africa, Mr. Victor Ufot, said money remains central to solving Africa’s challenges, arguing that every sector depends on financial strength. He explained that the conference was not merely about teaching forex, but about equipping traders with the strategies to create significant wealth.

“The conference is not about forex trading but about how every forex trader can make millions while trading,” he said.
Calling forex “a massive industry just like oil and gas,” Ufot insisted that Africa must not ignore its potential as a new wealth engine. According to him, Tentrade Africa positions itself not just as a broker but a regulated movement offering prop-firm services and empowering Africans to build purpose-driven trading careers.

Ufot closed the session with a challenge to participants to master selling as a core financial skill. “Every day you keep buying, then you have to sell to make money. You cannot keep buying without selling,” he said. “Selling is the secret to achieving the lifestyle you desire.”

He added that Tentrade Africa provides structured training to help traders package and sell their trading products effectively, ensuring they are well-equipped to compete in the evolving global forex space.

Participants described the conference as both enlightening and timely, noting that the insights gained could reshape trading activity in Ibadan and beyond.
