The Aziza Development Foundation (TADF) has recorded significant growth in the first quarter of 2026, extending its reach to over 1,000 women, girls, and children across six Nigerian states.

The foundation’s expansion underscores its commitment to empowering underserved populations through financial literacy, family support, and educational initiatives.

The six states impacted in the first three months of the year include Nassarawa, Kogi, Niger, Osun, Lagos, and Oyo. Notably, four of these states represent new territories, bringing the foundation’s total reach to sixteen states since its establishment in 2023.

Through flagship programmes such as the Light-Her Project, Money-Wise Girls Project, and its family support and educational scholarship initiatives, TADF has provided beneficiaries with critical skills, access to business capital, and educational resources that were previously unavailable to many in underserved communities.

Speaking on the achievements, Truben Adedamola, Head of Programs at TADF, said, “Our progress in Q1 is primarily a testament to the participation and resilience of the women and girls we serve. By hitting 20 percent of our strategic goal in just three months, we are confident that the foundation is on track to reach 5,000 beneficiaries by December 2026.”

The foundation’s expansion also highlights a focus on geographical inclusivity and economic empowerment. Beneficiaries receive training in financial literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and access to small-scale business funding, enabling women and girls to improve their livelihoods and contribute to local economies.

Temitope Aluko, Legal Lead and Liaison Officer at Radiant Futures Limited, a key partner of TADF, emphasized the potential impact of these interventions, noting that “with increased partnerships, more nano and micro women entrepreneurs can be empowered to bridge financial literacy gaps and access business funding support.”

The foundation attributes this quarter’s achievements to strong collaboration with strategic partners, including NGOs such as Mentoring Assistance for Youths and Entrepreneurs Initiative (MAYEIN), Cedars for Human Welfare Initiative (CEHUWEI), and School Now Now, as well as corporate partners like Radiant Futures Limited and La Richie Foods. Government stakeholders, including the Ministries of Education in Oyo and Osun states, local school authorities, and community volunteers, also contributed to the success.

Mrs. Owolabi, Cluster Head in Laniba, Ibadan, Oyo State, praised the foundation’s support, stating, “Many businesses in our cluster have grown thanks to TADF. One of our women recently purchased an industrial machine with business support received from the foundation. Their impact is tangible and life-changing.”

Looking ahead, TADF has called for new partnerships with local and international donors, financial institutions, educational institutions, NGOs, and community volunteers to scale its programs and achieve its goal of reaching 5,000 beneficiaries by the end of the year.

The Aziza Development Foundation is a non-profit organisation committed to empowering low-income women and girls across Nigeria and Africa. Through initiatives in financial literacy, family support, scholarships, and access to business capital, TADF seeks to create an environment where every woman and child has the economic tools to thrive.
