The Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), has appointed Mrs. Oyekemi Wilson as the Head of its Public Relations Unit and official spokesperson of the institution.
Her appointment was conveyed in a letter dated September 29, 2025, titled “Appointment as Head of College Public Relations Unit,” and signed by the Registrar of the college, Mr. Abimbade Abass.
According to the letter, the Provost of the college approved Mrs. Wilson’s appointment, which takes immediate effect. The letter further stated that she would be responsible for coordinating all press-related activities, managing exhibitions, and maintaining a positive relationship with key stakeholders.
“By virtue of your appointment, you are saddled with the responsibility of handling all issues relating to press conferences, exhibitions, and maintaining a positive relationship with stakeholders. You will be directly responsible to the Provost,” the letter read in part.
The Registrar, while congratulating her, expressed confidence in her ability to discharge her new responsibilities effectively.
Mrs. Wilson is a consummate communication expert with several years of experience in public relations and corporate communication. An award-winning communicator, she is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Her appointment is expected to strengthen the institution’s engagement with the public and enhance its visibility within Nigeria’s agricultural education sector.
