The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, has announced the formal defection of Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the ruling party.
The announcement, which was made at a stakeholders’ meeting of the party at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, ended months of speculation and indecision by the governor whether to remain in the PDP or move to the ruling party.
Speaking while announcing Mutfwang’s defection, the APC chairman said that by the movement, the ruling party has captured all the six states in the North-Central zone.

Earlier in the day, Mutfwang had held what was described as a valedictory meeting with his aides and loyalists where he briefed them on his final preparations to join the APC.
