The governorship aspiration of Chief Niyi Aborisade has received a major boost as political leaders and stakeholders across the 10 local government areas of Oke-Ogun have pledged their full support ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to a statement issued by the Niyi Aborisade Media Office, the endorsement came during a joint meeting with top leaders of the region, following a series of consultation visits by Chief Aborisade to each of the local government areas.

The statement revealed that the Oke-Ogun leaders, after extensive deliberations, expressed their unanimous commitment to work collectively towards the rrealisation of Chief Aborisade’s ambition to become the next governor of Oyo State.

“There was a rousing and resounding welcome in Oke Ogun. We toured all the 10 local government areas and the jubilant party faithful and residents received us warmly,” the statement read.

It added, “The leaders promised to work assiduously for the victory of Chief Niyi Aborisade in 2027. They pledged to deliver their councils for the actualisation of the governorship project.”

Oke-Ogun, a region long considered strategic in Oyo State’s political calculus, is poised to play a decisive role in the 2027 election. With the latest show of support, Chief Aborisade’s political momentum appears to be gathering significant ground as grassroots mobilization intensifies across the state.
