The Oyo State Director of the National Orientation Agency [NOA] , Mrs Ajolayo Sinmiat Akande,on Monday, expressed heartfelt condolences over the demise of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakuleyin.
In a release she personally signed and made available to the press in Ibadan this morning, the State Director, described the death of the monarch as a big blow and a moral lesson that life is a combination of sweetness and sorrow. She urged everyone to emulate the late monarch and make the best use of the period one has in order to leave a meaningful imprint on the sands of time.
” We, at the National Orientation Agency, are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty,Oba Owolabi Olakuleyin. His short but eventful tenure is a moral lesson on the brevity of life. One should strive to leave a good memory and earn a good reputation before it is too late.
”On behalf of the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mallam Lanre Isaa-Onilu, the management and the staff of the Oyo State Directorate, I hereby express my heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, The entire Olubadan-in-Council, the Olubadan’s family and the good citizens of Ibadanland, both at home and in the diaspora. May His gentle soul rest in perfect peace”, Akande said.
