Newly inaugurated executive members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State have paid glowing tribute to former Deputy Governor, Hazeem Gbolarumi, describing him as a courageous and visionary leader whose influence shaped their emergence.
The executives, led by the state chairman, Prof. Raham Akinoso, expressed appreciation to Gbolarumi for the confidence reposed in them through their appointment into key positions within the party structure.
In a statement made available to journalists, the exco members said the former deputy governor’s commitment to the growth and stability of the PDP in the state remained exemplary, noting that his leadership style continues to inspire unity and purpose within the party.
They described him as a principled and forward-looking statesman, adding that his belief in quality leadership was instrumental in the composition of the new executive.
“We are honoured by the trust and confidence reposed in us by our leader, His Excellency, Barrister Hazim Gbolarumi. We pledge our unwavering loyalty, dedication and commitment to justify this confidence and serve the party and the people of Oyo State with distinction,” the statement read.
The executives also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for his support and contributions to the party’s progress at both state and national levels.
According to them, Wike’s guidance and commitment to the PDP have remained a source of motivation as they assume their new responsibilities.
They further pledged to work towards building a more united and formidable party in Oyo State, in line with the vision of Gbolarumi and the broader aspirations of the party’s national leadership.
