Shalom wears many hats, filmmaker, writer, researcher, and storyteller, but her true genius lies in weaving them seamlessly together. Currently thriving as a film journalist, she brings to life compelling reviews and well-researched insights on Nollywood, carefully documenting its evolution while championing its global relevance.
Her journey is more than just ink on paper; it is rooted in action. Through the initiative of Oladipo O’Fresh, films such as MummyofIbcity, iWant, and most recently Sabbath premiered to audiences of nearly 3,000 cinema-goers each. Shalom has contributed to these projects in different capacities, working as the script supervisor on all three — a testament to her vision, courage, and the resonance of her voice. She has also served as a set design assistant and sound/boom operator on the film Sweet4ty. Her latest work is on the MadebyO’Fresh series The Olowoporokus, a family story that follows three children and their parents as they navigate life while holding on to faith. For Shalom, cinema is not just entertainment—it is a mirror of society, a tool for transformation, and a canvas for innovation.
Armed with a Mass Communication degree from Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, and currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the University of Ibadan, Shalom embodies the intersection of theory and practice. She blends academic rigour with lived experience, drawing on communications, marketing, and Public Relations strategies to amplify the impact of storytelling both on and off screen.

Whether developing film ideas, curating marketing campaigns, or crafting narratives that shift cultural conversations, Shalom brings a rare combination of clarity, creativity, and courage.
