he Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo, has congratulated Dr. Temitope Farombi, a Consultant Neurologist at the hospital’s Chief Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre, on the successful completion of her PhD and prestigious international fellowship.
Dr. Farombi recently earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Global Health from the University of West London, United Kingdom. In addition, she was awarded a Senior Atlantic Fellowship for Equity in Brain Health by the Global Brain Health Institute at Trinity College, Dublin, in collaboration with the Atlantic Institute, Oxford, UK — a recognition that places her among a global network of experts committed to advancing brain health equity.
Professor Otegbayo commended Dr. Farombi during a courtesy visit she paid to his office on Tuesday, describing her accomplishments as both inspiring and impactful.
The CMD lauded her commitment to academic excellence and her continued contribution to healthcare advancement, particularly in the areas of geriatrics and global health.
“Dr. Farombi’s achievements are not only a personal milestone but also a source of pride for UCH. Her dedication underscores our institution’s tradition of excellence and commitment to producing globally relevant healthcare professionals,” Prof. Otegbayo stated.
He added that such international recognition would enhance the reputation of UCH and foster future collaborations in cutting-edge medical research and training.
