A 300 level Nursing student of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Adebisi Wisdom, emerged as of the State Winners in Florence Nightingale Essay Competition.
The organisers described Wisdom’s feat as a reflection of intellectual rigor, professional insight and commitment to excellence. In the words of the organisers, “your success reflects intellectual rigor, professional insight, and commitment to excellence in nursing practice”.
Reacting to the remarkable achievement, the Vice-Chancellor of UNIMED congratulated the student and added that “this is a testament to excellence that UNIMED upholds in all its programmes”.
Adebisi Wisdom will now represent Ondo State at the Zonal Level Competition in Ogun State on the 25th February, 2026.
Florence Nightingale Essay and Speech Competition is an annual programme organized by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
