Uphold our sense of confidence professionalism, LCU VC charges students

The Vice Chancellor of Lead City University, Professor Kabiru Adeyemo, has called on the graduating students of the institution to uphold the ideals of confidence, etiquette, professionalism and self-development anywhere they find themselves. 



 

Adeyemo made the call during the 2025 Poise dinner and awards organised by the university in conjunction with the Institute of Personality Development and Customer Relationship Management [IPDCRM, which took place at Adeline Hall of the institution.

 

The programme had the theme: ‘’Reinventing Graduates for Personal Actualisation and Corporate Sustainability’’.

                  

“At Lead City University, we are committed to academic excellence. We develop in you the sense of confidence, etiquette , professionalism and capacity to develop yourself “, the VC  noted.

                                                      

           

He said the university added a juice towards education excellence and value development through its  IPDCRM programme in a bid to  promote and build an inclusive education.

 

In his remarks, the Deputy Registrar [Corporate Services]  Lead City University and convener of Poise Dinner/Awards May 2025 ,Dr Ayobami Owolabi noted that the award was a strategic enterprise in terms of Integrated Marketing Communication Architecture.

 

Owolabi maintained that it was a way of harnessing resources to engender the  much-desired development.

 

‘’It is a  way of harnessing our resources to bring about’’, he said.

 

The convener, however, said that the Dinner/Awards 2025 Edition was the most glamorous of its kind on LCU campus, stating  that it was an avenue of teaching their students the expectations of a work environment.

 

“It is  the most glamorous dinner on campus.Also, an avenue of teaching our students the expectation of a work environment .We teach them the dinner manner’’, Owolabi added.

Awards given included Exceptional Leadership award, Most Attractive Student, Most dignified/sophisticated; Outstanding Hall leadership; Exceptional Service to the University; Poise Mature Student; Outstanding Student Ambassador; Outstanding Student Support Organization and Mr & Mrs Poises Award. Every Award is given to male/female students. The induction of fellowship members was also part of the event.
