The company prayed for enduring peace, security, progress and prosperity in the country, while wishing customers and stakeholders a safe and joyful celebration.

IBEDC also used the occasion to caution customers against unsafe electricity practices during the festive season.

According to the company, consumers should avoid illegal connections, overloading of sockets, tampering with electrical installations and unauthorised handling of power infrastructure.

The electricity distribution company disclosed that its technical and customer service teams had been placed on alert to ensure prompt response to faults and service-related complaints throughout the holiday period.

Customers were encouraged to make use of the company’s customer care channels and digital payment platforms for seamless transactions and service requests.

The company added that its offices would remain open during the public holidays to attend to customers’ needs.
