The Brain Health Initiative Nigeria has announced a two-day basic carers’ training aimed at raising awareness about brain health and promoting compassionate care for people requiring support.
The programme, with the theme, “Nurturing Brain Health Through Kindness and Care,” is scheduled to hold on August 13 and 14 in Ibadan, beginning at 9:00 a.m. daily.
According to the organisers, the training will be available to participants both physically and virtually, with participation offered free of charge.
The initiative said the programme was designed to equip carers and other interested participants with knowledge relevant to providing better and more compassionate care while promoting awareness of brain health.
It also announced that participants who require certificates would pay N10,000, adding that payment would validate certificate participation.
The organisation urged interested participants to take advantage of the programme and join the training either physically or virtually.
The physical venue is at No. 3, Ayo Adesina Avenue, behind Holy Trinity School, Old Ife Road, Ibadan.
