The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Town, Emeritus Prof. Ayoade Olayiwola Ogunkunle has joined his fellow sons and daughters of Oyo kingdom in celebrating the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1 on the occasion of his golden jubilee birthday and 19th wedding anniversary celebrations.
The Oyo-born renowned agriculturist in a release made available by the institution’s Media and Public Relations Officer, Wale Adeoye described Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade as a man of great wisdom, compassion and geniality.
The statement said:’’His generosity of spirit and material is legendary. Kaabiyesi as a very strong personality is leaving a strong impression on everyone he meets or comes under his sphere of influence. It is in line with our University’s belief in Alaafin’s protection of our cultural heritage that we have approved the establishment of Alaafin Institute of Yoruba Studies which is taking off soon.

It is our prayer as a foremost educational institution that Kaabiyesi and Olori Abiwumi Owoade live to celebrate more prosperous years on the throne of his forebears”, the release concluded.
