The People’s Project for Social and Climatic Justice has appointed Rosemary Akpo-ga Emmanuel as their Digital Media and  Communication Officer.

The Chief Executive Officer, The People’s Project, Noel Ifeanyi Alumona, said the appointment was a strategic decision to deepen their organisational capacity in digital media and expand the reach of their  impact-driven   campaigns.

He said the appointment of  an experienced Strategic Development   Communications   Specialist,   Climate   Advocate,   and   Youth   Development Champion would attract the much needed creativity and innovation  into the activities of the organisation.

Noel described The People’s Project for Social and Climate Justice (TPP) as a nonprofit organization registered in Nigeria and the United States, working to advance human rights, strengthen democracy, and secure climate and social justice for all.

He said the organisation was built on a solid community-first, people-powered approach, to amplify the voices of marginalised populations and drive policy change that promotes equity, inclusion, and sustainability across Nigeria and Africa.

“Through our core projects: Boys Champions, HOPE, Dear Men Podcast,  and   Learning  Without Limits, we amplify marginalized voices, promote inclusive development, and challenge harmful societal norms to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable future”, Noel explained.

With a first class in Political Science from Bauchi State University, Gadau, Rosemary brings a robust   experience   in   community   engagement,   report   writing,   written   contents   and implementing social media strategies that increase visibility.

In   this   role,  Rosemary   will   drive   the   design   and   implementation   of  the  multi-platform communications strategy, amplifying their voice across education, health, youth development, and climate action. Her appointment marks a significant milestone in the journey to becoming a more dynamic and visible force in promoting digital solutions at both the grassroots and national levels. With a career anchored in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Rosemary has consistently demonstrated excellence in leveraging media, community engagement, and strategic advocacy to influence change.

She has spearheaded major national projects, most notably the 100 Youth Project across 21 Nigerian states, a campaign that mobilized young leaders for policy engagement and civic action, and the Learning Spaces for SDG4 Project, a  national  initiative   targeting  digital   inclusion   and  quality  education   in   underserved   public schools.

Rosemary’s passion for green digital literacy sets her apart as a forward-thinking advocate for climate-smart education. Through capacity-building programs, digital toolkits, and strategic messaging, she has empowered hundreds of young people to take informed climate action and actively participate in civic life.

Her communications portfolio is both robust and multidimensional, encompassing content creation, media relations, social media strategy, policy communication, and stakeholder engagement. She has an uncanny ability to translate complex issues into compelling narratives that inspire action, from the policy table to the local classroom.

At a time when the role of communications is critical in shaping policy, transforming attitudes, and building trust, Rosemary’s addition to our team brings renewed energy and clarity of purpose. Her belief in the power of communication to build resilient communities and foster leadership among youth aligns perfectly with our vision for inclusive development and social justice.

Noel expressed confidence that Rosemary would not only strengthen the digital media & communications arm of the organisation but also serve as a catalyst in scaling up their programmes and enhancing public engagement.

“As she takes on this role, we invite all our partners, stakeholders, and the broader development community   to   join   us   in   welcoming   Rosemary  Akpo-ga   Emmanuel,   a   strategic   thinker, passionate advocate, and transformative leader whose work continues to redefine what it means to communicate for change”, he concluded.
