According to a statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in his resignation letter, Nnaji revealed that he had been subjected to blackmail by political opponents, which influenced his decision to step down.

President Tinubu acknowledged Nnaji’s contributions during his tenure and extended his best wishes for success in Nnaji’s future endeavours.

  1. Nnaji has taken the path of honour by resigning his position as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He should go ahead and defend himself on how he got the NYSC and Bachelor of Science degree Certificate he presented to the Senate during his screening exercise. If the certificates were forged then a criminal case of forgery hangs on his neck. This is call on our Senator to take screening of appointees more serious.
