Lagos Noble Star Club Condoles Jegun of Idepe Over Chief Ikutiminu’s Passing

The Lagos chapter of the Noble Star Club of Ikaleland has extended its condolences to the Jegun of Idepe Kingdom, Oba Michael Adetoye Obatuga, over the death of his father-in-law, Chief Chris Olatubara Ikutiminu.

In a statement jointly signed by its President, Sola Monilari, and Secretary-General, Sunday Akinseye, the club expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the late Chief Ikutiminu as a respected family figure whose presence and counsel were invaluable.

The club noted that the demise of such a figure represents a significant loss, not only to the immediate family but also to the extended royal household, acknowledging the role he played in supporting the royal institution with dignity and wisdom.

“We understand that the loss of a pillar within the family is a deep sorrow, especially one who stood as a source of strength and guidance,” the statement read.

The group also conveyed its sympathy to the monarch’s wife and the entire household, praying for divine comfort and fortitude in this period of grief.

“We pray that the Almighty grants Your Royal Majesty and your family the strength and solace to bear this irreparable loss, and that the soul of the departed finds peaceful rest,” the statement added.  The Noble Star Club further reaffirmed its respect and solidarity with the royal family during this difficult time.
