The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan has reopened registration for students with outstanding deficiencies across academic sessions spanning 2018/2019 to 2024/2025, offering them a final opportunity to regularise their status.
The decision, described as being on compassionate grounds, was contained in a statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mogaji Soladoye Adewole, on behalf of the Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olufunto Ojewumi.
According to the statement, the window is intended to enable affected students who were unable to register or complete their registration formalities due to various challenges to correct such anomalies.
Students in this category have been advised to take advantage of the opportunity by completing all necessary registration processes on or before June 30, 2026.
The management warned that failure to comply within the stipulated deadline could result in the permanent loss of studentship.
“This window of opportunity is to allow such students to rectify the issues that prevented them from completing their registration. It is a rare concession and will not be extended beyond the deadline,” the statement said.
It further urged parents and guardians to ensure that their wards utilise the opportunity to regularise their academic status.
The institution also clarified that all affected students are required to pay the current tuition fees and fulfil other registration requirements to benefit from the exercise.
The management reiterated its commitment to maintaining academic standards while providing deserving students with a final chance to complete their programmes.
