The Vice-Chancellor, University of Medical Sciences [UNIMED], Ondo, Prof. Ebunoluwa Adejuyigbe, has lauded members of staff for their dedication and contributions to institutional growth, as workers across the country marked this year’s Workers’ Day.
In a message to staff , the Vice-Chancellor described the annual celebration as a moment to honour the dignity of labour and recognise the vital role of workers in advancing the university’s vision.
Adejuyigbe expressed appreciation for the commitment and resilience of staff, noting that their collective efforts had led to notable achievements in the past year, including strengthened academic programmes, successful accreditation exercises, expanded research activities, and improvements in the learning environment.
She added that the institution had also prioritised staff welfare through prompt payment of salaries, professional development initiatives, and gradual enhancement of work infrastructure.
“The contributions of staff remain the backbone of the university’s progress. Their dedication has continued to drive excellence across all sectors of the institution,” she said.
The Vice-Chancellor also reiterated the management’s commitment to creating a conducive work environment that promotes innovation, excellence, and inclusiveness.
According to her, the university will sustain efforts aimed at ensuring that every member of staff feels valued, empowered, and motivated to contribute meaningfully to institutional development.
Adejuyigbe urged staff to strengthen collaboration, uphold professionalism, and remain committed to the shared goal of advancing the university to greater heights.
