Purplebloom Publishers has announced that business strategist and Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Datina Designs, Dr. Tinu Smith, will deliver the keynote address at the second edition of its Authors’ Conference scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The conference, themed: “Ink Your Dreams: Shaping the Future Through Words,” will take place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the IACD Library/American Corner, Leventis Building, Magazine Road, Jericho, Ibadan.
According to the organisers, the conference is designed to inspire emerging and established authors, publishers, students and creative professionals by equipping them with practical knowledge on writing, publishing, entrepreneurship and personal branding.
The event is convened by the Creative Director of Purplebloom Publishers, Adejoke Oyekan, while Loveth Michael will serve as host.
Dr. Smith is expected to share insights on how writers and creatives can transform their ideas into impactful works while leveraging innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship to build sustainable careers.
The conference will also feature guest presentations by the Founder of May Coutures, Temitayo Oluyege, and the Chief Executive Officer of Primus Media, Afouda Samuel.
A panel of accomplished professionals drawn from the literary, media, legal, business and creative sectors will also engage participants on issues shaping the future of writing and publishing in Nigeria.
Panelists include Oyindamola Delu; Founder and Chief Executive Officer of City Crier Communications Limited, Asiwaju Ezra Okebisi; Oluwafemi Popoola; Oluwatobi Tiolu; writer and visual artist, Kanyisola Balogun-Kuku; Dr Lola Aluko; Executive Director of Women for Greater Good Foundation and Deputy State Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Hon. Fatima Titilayo Hassan; legal practitioner, Charles Oyarekua; finance and management consultant, Dr Lola Ayo-Fashida; Dr Bolanie Adejugba; Yemisi Soyinka; and Mercy Balogun.
Discussions will be moderated by Michael Olatunbosun and Temiloluwa Ala.
