The commendation followed an inspection visit to the college by a NANS delegation led by its National Financial Secretary, Alao John Oluwadamilola, and the Zonal Coordinator, Adeyemo Josiah Kayode, alongside other student leaders.

Speaking with journalists after the inspection, Alao said the delegation was impressed by the level of development witnessed across several critical areas of the institution.

He highlighted the ICT Centre, Medical Imaging Laboratory, X-Ray Imaging Laboratory, Dispensing Opticianry Laboratory and Dental Clinic, noting that improved facilities were essential to quality practical training for students.

The delegation also inspected the renovated college auditorium and library, which it was informed now houses more than 60,000 books and other learning resources.

Alao said the developments witnessed during the visit were consistent with improvements recorded under Raheem’s administration since his appointment in February 2023 as the first substantive Provost of the institution.

He said the delegation considered it important to acknowledge genuine institutional progress whenever such developments directly benefited students.

“As students and representatives of the Nigerian student community, we have a responsibility not only to speak when things are wrong but also to commend genuine efforts and developments that directly improve the learning environment of students. What we have seen here today deserves recognition,” Alao said.

He, however, urged the management to sustain the momentum by expanding modern equipment, improving student welfare, strengthening accreditation efforts and upgrading learning facilities.

Alao stressed that the ultimate measure of institutional development should remain the quality of education, practical training, welfare and opportunities available to students.

The NANS delegation also appreciated Raheem for the reception accorded its members during the visit and requested the provision of a union bus for the Students’ Union.

The Provost, according to the delegation, graciously received the request and promised to deliver it.
