Public affairs analyst, Comrade Jare Ajayi, has lauded the exceptional performance of journalist and media professional, Rotimi Agboluaje, in the final qualifying professional examination conducted by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

The examination result placed Agboluaje among the top performers in his set, earning him the prestigious designation of Associate Registered Practitioner in Advertising (ARPA).

In a congratulatory message, Ajayi, who is also a respected public affairs commentator, described Agboluaje’s achievement at his first sitting as “a guarantee of a brighter future for the upcoming young man,” adding that such academic and professional feats were worthy of emulation.

ARCON, the statutory body regulating advertising practice in Nigeria, conducts the professional examinations to certify individuals who wish to practise advertising in the country.

Agboluaje, known for his quality reportage and incisive analysis across print, broadcast, and digital platforms, holds a Higher National Diploma from the Lagos State Polytechnic and graduated with First-Class Honours in Business Administration from Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan, in 2024. He has also completed several professional courses to deepen his expertise.

He is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a Fellow of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), and a Fellow of the Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals (AFYMP). His training includes extensive fact-checking programmes with Code4Africa. Additionally, he serves as an executive member of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES) in Oyo State.

Before venturing fully into the media space, Agboluaje worked with United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc and taught Government, Civic Education, Economics, Commerce, and English Language in private schools and tutorial centres in Lagos and Ibadan.

A regular voice on public affairs programmes across radio and television stations in Ibadan, Agboluaje has worked with Impact Business Radio (IBR92.5FM), Ibadan, and currently reports for The Guardian newspaper.

Ajayi’s tribute, observers say, underscores the growing recognition of Agboluaje’s rising profile in Nigerian journalism and public affairs analysis — a career trajectory many believe is only just beginning.
