The President of the Association of Communication Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria (ASCPN), Prof. Rotimi Williams Olatunji, has been selected for the Africa Outstanding Leadership Award in Communication and Media Studies.
The award, according to a notification from Global Skills Hub, United Kingdom, will be presented during the first Africa Leadership Summit and Awards scheduled to hold from October 8 to 10, 2026, at the GTEC Auditorium, East Legon, Accra, Ghana.
The summit has as its theme, “Building Influence through Personal Leadership,” and is aimed at recognising individuals whose leadership, influence, vision, integrity and commitment to positive societal impact have contributed to their communities, organisations and beyond.
In the notification signed by the Head of African Operations, Global Skills Hub, Dr Akhere Marian Akran, Olatunji was recognised for what the organisers described as his visionary leadership, commitment to excellence and ability to inspire others.
The organisers also cited his dedication to community development, professional integrity and contributions towards empowering and positively influencing people.
They said his leadership journey reflected the values the award seeks to celebrate, adding that the recognition was based on his demonstrated leadership qualities over the years.
Participants at the summit are also expected to benefit from a UK CPD-certified leadership training and interact with leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs and change-makers from across Africa and beyond.
