She was found on Thursday, December 11, 2025, after being kidnapped outside her home in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Otesile, a mother of two and daughter of Reverend Dr. Lekan Babatunde, the founder of Jesus Is King Ministries, was taken by gunmen on the evening of December 4, 2025.

The details surrounding her release, such as whether a ransom was paid or the involvement of security agencies in the final recovery, are not yet fully known.

Her abduction had prompted appeals from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and an NGO to the state government and security forces for her safe return.
