Ibadan Media Limited has been named Digital News Media of the Year at the recent Advertising and Marketing Communications (AMC) Awards, in recognition of its contribution to Nigeria’s expanding digital journalism space.
The award, presented on Sunday at the Mauve 21 in Ibadan, acknowledges the platform’s consistency in ethical reporting, credible news dissemination, and effective deployment of digital tools to engage audiences, particularly within the South-West and across the country.
Speaking after the presentation, the Publisher of Ibadan Media Ltd, Chief Ola Olalekan Olanrewaju, described the recognition as a reflection of the organisation’s commitment to professionalism and responsible journalism.
According to the Mayegun of Ofa-Igbo, the award highlights the increasing relevance of regional digital news platforms in shaping public discourse and strengthening the media ecosystem beyond Nigeria’s traditional commercial hubs.
Ibadan Media has grown steadily in recent years through its coverage of governance, business, social development, and community-related issues, while maintaining editorial balance and adherence to journalistic standards. The platform has also leveraged technology to expand its reach and improve audience engagement across multiple digital channels.
The Advertising and Marketing Communications Awards celebrate excellence across advertising, marketing, media, and communications, recognising organisations and professionals whose work demonstrates innovation, integrity, and measurable industry impact.
