A human rights activist and governorship aspirant in Oyo State on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barrister Niyi Aborisade (BANA) has pledged to focus on purposeful leadership, transparency, accountability and people-oriented leadership.
The British-trained lawyer stated this while obtaining his party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination Form ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
“I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to purposeful leadership, transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance”, Aborisade, a poet and historian, said shortly after obtaining the nomination form in Abuja.
According to him, the decision to contest for the governorship seat is borne out of genuine love for Oyo State and the burning desire to reposition the state for greater development, economic prosperity, quality education, industrial growth, improved healthcare system, youth empowerment and infrastructural advancement.
Aborisade maintained that Oyo State deserves visionary leadership driven by competence, honesty, integrity and selfless service, stressing that the people are yearning for a government that truly understands their pains and aspirations.
The ADC governorship hopeful further promised to run an all-inclusive administration where every region, class and sector of the state would receive equal attention and developmental benefits without discrimination.
