The management of Prince 89.7FM, Ibadan, has explained that the disengagement of its Head of Operations II, Boluwaji Ogunyemi, was part of an ongoing restructuring exercise aimed at repositioning the station for improved performance.
The clarification was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Wednesday, following reports surrounding the staff’s exit from the organisation.
According to the management, the restructuring is designed to enhance the station’s administrative and technical operations, while strengthening public engagement and service delivery.
The station stressed that the decision was purely organisational and intended to reposition Prince 89.7FM for greater efficiency and professionalism.
It also warned members of the public, clients and business associates against transacting any business with Ogunyemi on behalf of the station, noting that she no longer represents the organisation.
The management added that any transaction conducted with the disengaged staff in the name of Prince 89.7FM would not be recognised by the station.
The statement further disclosed that another staff member, presenter Adewale Fatai, was also affected by the restructuring exercise.
“Not only Boluwaji Ogunyemi was disengaged, another presenter, Adewale Fatai, also joined the list. We urge our esteemed clients and fans to desist from transacting on behalf of Prince FM with Boluwaji Ogunyemi henceforth.
“We will not fail in upholding professionalism and humanity in our organization,” the statement read.
