The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Olajumoke Morenikeji, stated this while unveiling the institution’s official commemorative identity for its 10th anniversary and sixth convocation ceremony.

Prof. Morenikeji said the 10-year milestone represented more than the passage of time, describing it as a journey of vision, commitment, learning, growth, resilience and impact.

According to her, the university was established a decade ago with a vision to provide young people with quality education, develop their talents, equip them with relevant knowledge and skills, and prepare them to become responsible contributors to society.

She said the achievements recorded over the past decade were the collective efforts of the Founder and Chancellor, Chief Kola Daisi, CON, successive governing authorities and university leaders, as well as academic and administrative staff, students, alumni, parents, partners and the wider community.

The VC said the institution’s first decade had provided a foundation for greater accomplishments, stressing that the next decade would focus on making the university “better, stronger and more impactful.”

She said the university would continue to strengthen teaching and learning, deepen research and innovation, create more opportunities for entrepreneurship and industry engagement, and invest in its people, infrastructure and systems.

Morenikeji added that the university would remain student-centred, with a commitment to ensuring that graduates leave the institution with not only certificates but also competence, character, confidence and the capacity to make meaningful contributions to society.

She said her administration was determined to build on the achievements of the first decade and position KolaDaisi University as a globally competitive, research-driven and student-centred institution.

“Our journey ahead will require courage, collaboration, discipline and an unwavering commitment to excellence,” she said.

Speaking on the significance of the commemorative identity, Morenikeji said the logo was more than a symbol of the anniversary, as it represented 10 years of vision, learning, resilience, progress and impact.

She said the identity also captured the contributions of thousands of people who had been part of the university’s journey while pointing towards its future.

Morenikeji said the milestone should inspire the university community to “dream bigger, work harder and serve better,” while strengthening its commitment to excellence and responsibility to future generations.

She expressed optimism that the next decade would witness greater achievements in academic excellence, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, character formation and societal impact.
