The Oyo State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) will today hold a roadshow in Ibadan to promote professionalism and responsible communication in the public relations industry.
The roadshow, organised in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA), is part of activities promoting the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
The event, with the theme, “Responsible Communication: The Voice of the World,” is scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m.
The procession will begin from the premises of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Agodi, Ibadan, and proceed through Total Garden to the Mokola Roundabout.
According to the Acting Chairman of NIPR in Oyo State, Mr. Goke Adelaku, the initiative is aimed at creating awareness about the importance of professionalism, responsible communication and excellence in public relations.
The roadshow is also expected to draw attention to the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum in Abuja, which brings together public relations practitioners and stakeholders around issues affecting the profession and communication practice.
The event is being supported by media partners, including NTA, the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The NIPR Oyo State Chapter urged public relations practitioners and other stakeholders to support efforts aimed at strengthening professional standards and promoting responsible communication.
