Reacting to the development, Hamzat expressed appreciation to his supporters, party members and executives for their prayers, solidarity and continued belief in his political ambition.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Samuel Ibikunle, Hamzat described the development as a significant moment in the dispute surrounding Accord’s governorship ticket.

He said the development had addressed some of the questions and insinuations surrounding efforts to undermine the party’s collective interest, but cautioned his supporters against complacency.

“This is not the finish line; it is the beginning of a more demanding journey,” he said.

Hamzat urged members and supporters of the party to strengthen their unity, intensify engagement with the electorate and remain committed to their political objectives ahead of the election.

He also called on party faithful to be prepared to defend their mandate through lawful, peaceful and democratic means, warning that further challenges could emerge as the election approaches.

According to him, the party must remain focused, organised and united rather than allow disagreements or intimidation to derail its efforts.

The Accord candidate acknowledged the trust reposed in him by his supporters, describing it as a responsibility he would continue to carry with humility.

“I do not take your trust for granted, and I will continue to work hard to honour it,” he said.

Hamzat reiterated his commitment to the people of Oyo State, declaring: “The work continues. The commitment remains. The people must always come first.”
