Olaosebikan, a former Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, stated this while receiving the endorsement of women and youth groups within the constituency ahead of the APC primaries for the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement came during the presentation of modern public address systems to women and youth leaders of the APC at the headquarters of the PBAT-KO Grassroots Movement in Olomi, Ibadan.
The women and youths described Olaosebikan as “the right man for the job,” pledging total support for his aspiration to secure the party’s ticket for the Oluyole Federal Constituency seat.
Speaking on behalf of the youths, APC Youth Leader in Oluyole Local Government, Mr. Babatunde Yisau Lawal, commended Olaosebikan for what he described as his consistent generosity and commitment to grassroots politics.
“People like Kenny are not common in politics. We appreciate his pragmatic gesture and we are ready to give him our full support in his aspiration and in the 2027 elections,” Lawal said.
Similarly, the APC Women Leader in the local government, Mrs. Kikelomo Akinleye, said Olaosebikan possesses the qualities of a responsible and compassionate leader capable of strengthening both the party and the constituency.
“We have known Olaosebikan for about 18 years. He is our daddy, brother and uncle. He is responsive, caring and committed to the progress of the people. We believe Oluyole will be better represented if he emerges as candidate,” she said.
Addressing party members and supporters, Olaosebikan said he was prepared for any mode of primary election the APC might adopt, insisting that his political loyalty and consistency within the progressive fold remain unquestionable.
According to him, despite setbacks in previous primary contests in 2019 and 2023, he remained committed to the APC without defecting to another political platform.
“The people of Oluyole deserve quality representation from a tested grassroots politician with the experience and capacity to deliver. My loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and my years of service to the APC and progressive politics are not in doubt,” he said.
Olaosebikan urged party leaders and members to prioritise competence, loyalty and proven track record in selecting the party’s candidate for the constituency.
He also declared that 2027 presents another opportunity for him to represent the constituency at the National Assembly, stressing that “it is my turn to serve Oluyole Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.”
The APC chieftain served as South-West Regional Coordinator for Media and Publicity of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council during the 2023 general elections.
