The summit is being hosted by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The gathering is focusing on strengthening opposition collaboration ahead of future elections, with Atiku believed to be among key figures eyeing the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 poll.

Makinde, in his remarks, stressed the need to protect Nigeria’s democracy, urging stakeholders to work collectively to deepen democratic values.
