Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, and other traditional rulers have commended author and public intellectual, Chief Dr. Jerry Otunba, for his contribution to leadership and intellectual development through the launch of three books.
The books, unveiled at a ceremony attended by political leaders, academics, traditional rulers and other dignitaries, examine the themes of knowledge and wisdom, transformational leadership and personal development.
The organisers described the simultaneous release of the three titles as a significant literary achievement, noting that the publications seek to promote intellectual growth and provide practical insights into leadership, governance and self-development.
Presenting the books to the public, Oba Olugbenle lauded the author for using literature to inspire learning and national development, urging leaders and young people to embrace knowledge as a tool for societal progress.
Obasanjo, who was among the special guests at the event, joined other dignitaries in congratulating Otunba on the publication, while royal fathers present described the books as a valuable addition to literature on leadership and nation-building.
Reviewers at the launch stressed the importance of continuous learning in leadership, arguing that effective governance and sustainable development are rooted in knowledge, integrity and lifelong intellectual growth.
They noted that the trilogy underscores the connection between informed leadership and societal advancement, calling on public office holders, professionals and emerging leaders to cultivate the habit of continuous self-improvement.
